I LOVE SHOES AND BACON.

The Liempo Theory

This liempo theory thing is best explained with a story.

Bodie and I were at Reyes BBQ Subic, in line, choosing what to order.

Me: Oo, ganun talaga. Tignan mo si B (blind item haha), gusto talaga niya si S pero d niya inaamin. Nagkakagf siya na iba pero wala padin kasi si S talaga ung liempo.  Chicken bbq lang lahat.

The life realizations that happen while in line at Reyes. lol

Anyway, that’s the point.  Go for what/who/where you want.  In the case of Walang Hanggan, Marco’s (Richard Gomez) liempo is Emily (Dawn Zulueta) but he married a chicken bbq, Jane (Rita Avila).  Aww, regrets right there especially now that Emily is back and oh-so-beautiful.

But, I’m not saying your liempo will never change.  It will/can but you have to get over the previous liempo first.  The end. :))

Nightshades

Running on third

Half shots of tequila

Bottomless pit of race

Never the victor

Always the almost

No win all lose

Heart in the wind

Blown by a thousand tornadoes

Purpose too deep

But not a single accomplished

Never will and never can

A stop can make it end

But how to halt

When there’s no goal

Endless race til the dawn

Of the infinite tomorrows

Not a single win

In the doomed scoreboard

Of your neverending mismatched race

*One of the things I don’t normally post but wth!*

Walkway

C360_2012-04-06-14-58-44

One awesome thing this Holy Week is Walkway at Bonifacio High Street.  Last year, I wasn’t able to check it out so I was really excited to go through it this year.  Walkway is the very interactive stations of the cross.  Each station has an “action step” for you to help you reflect on God, your life and relationships.

"Seem" is the operative wordThat’s my favorite.  I love the message and how true it is.

This event serves as a reminder of God’s love.  His love is so indescribable.  I can never fully comprehend how much He loves us.  Giving His only Son to die for sinners, that is pure, unconditional love.  I’m glad that I was able to reflect on it more this Holy Week.

The Walkway event will run from April 1 to 8.  One day left so if you can, go check it out.  Also, praise God for the people behind it.  It’s truly a blessing. :)

Anawangin Weekend

Before I start working on the slides that I’ll be presenting tomorrow (you won’t believe how much I’m dreading tomorrow), let’s go back last weekend when everything is still fine and stress-free.  It was my second time in Anawangin.  The first time I went there we only stayed for around 4hours.  No camping involved.  We stayed in a resort where there is a decent toilet.  Nothing special.

For this recent Anawangin trip, we stayed there all day and night.  It wasn’t my first time to do some camping though since I’ve been to Nagsasa (also in that area).  It was all good.  Definitely something I can do without getting stressed too much.  Well, only if it’s just overnight and not a tiny bit longer than that.  Here’s a bunch of photos.

Le tent and tentmatesTent and the tentmates.  We stayed at this Lakers-colored tent.  It’s quite huge inside.  Only problem is the ventilation.

What's the tagalog word for Pine?Pine trees all over the place.  What’s the tagalog word for pine trees?

Swim swimAfternoon soak.  The morning sea is lovely though.  Huge waves coming in and it’s so much fun to just flow with them.

Zero planning on our side was done for this trip, thanks to Pinoy Caravan.  We paid 2000 per person and everything is included even the food.  The package also includes a trip to Capones (free if there’s more than 14 of you) and trekking which I didn’t do cause a vacation for me is doing nothing.  According to the boyfriend, my decision of not doing the trek was a good one but the view up there is also a sight to see.  So it really depends on what you wanna do.  Oh and we camped like a sir.  During the bonfire sesh, we were drinking wine.  Thanks, tentmate Jon and Sarmie, for introducing me to the world of intellectual drinking.

Ala-Arashi's Believe

Anawangin reminds me of Arashi’s Believe PV.  I dunno why but maybe it’s because of the forest-y feel/the pine trees.  Watch the video and be enlightened.  Useless info for you: I am forever inlove with Sakurai Sho, the rapper in the video.~

THINGS I LOVE

Yuhh, I know.  This is the third time I’m changing my blog.  One of the reasons for the switch to the newly-acquired by Twitter blog platform is boredom with a bit of identity crisis.  I don’t find it easy to blog in Wordpress even if I’ve been using it for almost 2 years.  That being said, I hope Posterous is a good choice.  If not, I’ll probably have the same “what to write on my first post” dilemma in a few days/weeks/months.

So, let me share to you (even if you don’t really care) the things that I’m currently inlove with.

#1 THE VOICE

American Idol and X-Factor - these two shows have two things in common - there’s singing and I don’t like them.  No judgment on anyone who likes those shows but it’s definitely not my cup of tea.  It’s a totally different story when it comes to The Voice. Maybe it’s Adam Levine’s good looks or the coaches’ chemistry but whatever it is, it got me hooked.

The main reason why I even considered watching The Voice is cause I wanna see Juliet Simms’ audition.  She’s the vocalist of Automatic Loveletter.  Back when I was hanging out in my dark place, their song, Unhearted, would be on repeat in my iPod.  Despite the song being so emo, it somehow cheered me up.  So, from that time on, I love Juliet Simms and her unique voice.

I’ll all for Juliet Simms.  I used to like Erin Martin as well cause her voice is so different.  Sadly, after her battle round, I find her so arrogant.  Other likes in the show - Mathai, Lindsay Pavao, Charlotte Sometimes and Naia Kete.

#2 Water Your Body app

Current ml of water drank: 1000.  615 ml more to go.  Before the discovery of this app, I just drink water whenever I want to (in short, rarely) but this app notifies me when it’s time to drink and so I get pressured to do it.  So, if you’re like me, give this a try.

#3 KOKO

Koko/Kokopuff/Kokocar.  She is currently my most favorite thing.  Even if she’s draining my bank account, I still love her loads.  That’s her, being so absolutely pretty.

C360_2012-03-31-11-31-44

If you’re wondering why Koko (and even if you’re not): It’s all connected to the Kardashians. Kourtney’s son, Mason, calls Khloe Koko.  Khloe is my favorite Kardashian.  And so, since I can’t be a Kardashian, I want my car to be somewhat Kardashian-y.

That’s it.  Thinking of making this Things I Love a regular thing in this blog.~

Rizal published the Noli Me Tangere at 26, Juan Luna painted the Spoliarium at 27, and Bonifacio began the Revolution at 30. What do Filipinos in their late 20s do today? They work at a call center, go to Starbucks, have a take out, complete their stickers for a planner, be happy, and maybe go to Facebook and post things online. So if you think about it our heroes are young and so are most of you, so don’t waste your youth.
